My sister's Apple ID was hacked

Last night my sisters Apple ID has been hacked. She had a notification pop up on her iPhone and iPad stating that someone has accessed her account from a Mac. She immediately changed her password and security questions for her Apple ID. She also changed her password for the email that's connected to her Apple ID. Few minutes later, she was bombarded with 44 random texts that she either received or has sent (I told her not to open them just incase). They were all in Chinese text and the number started with +86. Nothing else has happened since 12 AM. Is there anything else she should do before calling for support? Is calling for support unneeded? Would greatly appreciate a response as soon as possible.

Changing the password is definitely the first thing to do, but it would be a good idea for her to review her account information on https://appleid.apple.com/ in case anything was changed (though she probably would've received an email if that was the case). Also enabling two-step verification or two-factor authentication will help make the account more secure and guard against any future unauthorized use of the Apple ID. If she uses the same email and password combination for other internet accounts, it would be a good idea to change the passwords for all of these as well, and it would be best to have unique passwords for each account.
